Thoughtfully crafted in 2026

Inspired by the works of architect-designer Mauro Dell’Orco, the Blanco Table pulls from the profile of his 2013 OpTable and uses the same undulating pattern as my Ruffle series. Similar to the Ruffle side table but unlike version one, two trays interlock the waves on one-half of the top surface while the rest of the table top remains flat to maintain it's utility. Instead of ending the waves at the transition point, they continue in flux to the underside. This allowed the ripples to contour the entire silhouette and created a unique and unexpected visual detail. Two circular cut-outs were designed into the side-wall to draw a relationship to the two round trays on top.

Waves, ripples, squiggles, and ruffles are becoming very popular details found in today’s furniture. For good reason: they add a playfully soft and elegant visual that works well in transitional and contemporary homes.
