THE CONVERSATION

The first step in the process is foundational in our relationship. We will connect and discuss the requisite design solutions, so that we can both fully understand the desired outcomes. This can happen over email, phone, or coffee if you live in the Triangle area of North Carolina. We do not need to have all the answers now, but the conversation will set in motion our project scope moving forward.

THE IDEATION

Once I've gathered all the information (inspiration, material, dimension, function, feel, etc.), I begin sketching through ideas. It always helps to have a mood or design board, as this can guide my stylistic choices to meet your needs. Once I am happy with a direction, I send a concept proposal which contain realistic "draft" renders. From here, we can further discuss changes until we land on something we are both happy with. This is a complimentary render to communicate a design intention. CLICK HERE TO SEE EXAMPLES.

THE PRODUCTION

After we  agree on the design and the retainer is paid, fabrication will begin. I source all lumber locally and instigate any outsourcing needs (upholstery, machining, etc.) I will try my best to keep you updated on progress and ensure that the agreed upon lead times are met.  Pieces crafted in-house will be guaranteed and any outsourced work will be checked for quality control to meet what our studio would consider a "craftsmanship" standard.

THE INSTALLATION

The final step is delivery. This will be done by me personally if you are in our local area. We can agree on a delivery and installation method if you are located outside the local perimeter. Either way, we want to make sure that your furniture or art piece shows up the way it was intended to be.
