Thoughtfully crafted in 2024
The Brosnan table is outside my normal style but still hopes to project my design aesthetic. This sofa runner is inspired by a Spanish traditional trestle table of the 19th century. Though these carried a lot of curvature in their time they were quite masculine and heavy in form. My goal was to create a more fluid, visually light, and feminine form that still carried with it the key features from that time period. This meant maintaining the dark stain, distressing the wood, and integrating large casted clavos nails.
The Brosnan trestle legs also portray themes of warmth, strength, and protection. This is signified through the Hamsa hands on each side as well as the female breasts profiled within the curvy silhouette.
