Thoughtfully crafted in 2022

The Rook coffee table is a recreation of a design based on my original Isometric coffee table from 2016 (which can be found in the MISC section of this portfolio). The Rook table is less based on the classic chess piece's form, and more on the bi-axis direction that it moves. Just like the castle game piece, it provides stability at the corners of the board.

A NEW APPROACH

Because the legs required the intersection of four separate parts, I could play with how the feet terminated.  This is how the U-shaped feet were born, which has set this solid wood coffee table apart from anything on the market.
