Ruffle describes an undulation or flow of waves. You can find ruffles in many sizes, materials and forms. Examples include textiles, sound, liquid, electricity and even landscapes. They can be permanent like rolling hills and ephemeral like the vibration of a snare drum or the ripple of a water droplet.

A SERIES WITH INTENT

In my Ruffle series, I used an oscillating wave pattern that evenly runs parallel to the wood grain. This opened up feasibility to integrate into an array of furniture objects that have decent surface area like the mirror shown here.
