Thoughtfully crafted in 2023

The Saltine Nightstands were commissioned for a client who required a set of bedside tables that have a “light, airy, & leggy” composition. The Design started with long dowel legs. These were the guiding feature for the remainder of the design, whereas the cylinder shape was mimicked with the geometric repetition across the front and sides. Their silhouettes then projected to the surface edges which defined the final form.

DON'T OVERTHINK IT

Sometimes, my work may not require a deep narrative. Sometimes it’s simpler than that. Choices can be made based off of previous decisions within the same design or even other designs. And sometimes a namesake can be literal and thats perfectly okay.
